Transportation

In order to maximize the safety and well-being of SCS families and constituents, as well as minimize the disruption of traffic by students, families, and staff in our neighborhood, a Traffic Control Plan showing the drop-off and pick-up of students has been developed. Please familiarize yourself with the drop-off and pick-up information. In addition, take note of information for parking, school emergencies, student drivers, and carpooling.

Morning Drop Off

Please do not leave your car unattended at any time unless it is parked in a designated parking space

Preschool - Kindergarten Students

Parents and guardians are asked to park in the parking lot across from the Early Education Center and then walk their students to their classroom (door #11).
Students should always be escorted to their classroom by a parent or guardian.

1st - 3rd Grade Students

Students may dropped off at door #11, #14, and #7.
We encourage our families to drop off their children to empower their child to get to class on their own to develop independence in our facility.

4th - 12th Grade Students

4th - 12th students may be dropped off at the main school entrances adjacent to the school lobby (door 2 & 17) or door through doors #14 and 7 if you have children in both the EEC and DB.
Students may only be dropped off on the right side of the car, and only next to the curb. No second lane drop offs.
When exiting the property from the main parking lot, you may only turn right onto Roselle Road from the main exit. If you wish to turn left onto Roselle, use the north exit.

Please DO NOT have students exit the building through the administrative entrance.

Student Driver

Students with a valid driver's license may drive their car to school and park in the designated student parking area. Students wishing to drive a car to school must complete a Student Driver Permission Form. Students and parents must complete the permission form and return the completed and signed form to the school office for approval.

Carpool to SCS

To reduce drop-off and pick-up traffic, we encourage all families at SCS to carpool if possible. A database of our families by zip code is available in the school office for families interested in establishing a carpool.

D54 Bus Transportation

Schaumburg Christian School partners with District 54 and First Student to provide safe and efficient bus service to and from school for SCS students during the school year. This is a free bus service for your child (Kindergarten through 8th grade) if you live more than 1½ miles from the school and you live in District 54. Click here for a map of District 54.

Families who live within 1½ miles of SCS where a walk to school would be considered a hazardous condition (ex. crossing busy streets) would also receive this transportation service for free. If your home is not considered as a hazardous location for student walkers, this service may be used for a fee. Please call the school office for these fees.

Dial-A-Ride Transportation (DART)

Dial-A-Ride Transportation (DART) is provided by the Village of Schaumburg and Pace's Suburban Bus Division. A Pace bus will pick you up and drop you off anywhere within the Village of Schaumburg. The Bus will arrive within the 15 minute time frame, and will wait for one minute.

Several SCS families use this option because it provides inexpensive transportation for themselves and their children.
