Orchestra

Students interested in joining the Strings Program can begin their training as early as K5 and continue through high school. Instruction is available for violin, viola, and beginner-level cello. Bass instruction begins in upper elementary.

Ensemble Opportunities
Beginning in 2nd grade, students may join one of several ensembles that build musical technique and ensemble experience:

Beginner Orchestra
For students in Suzuki Book 1 who are learning basic rhythms, notes, and finger patterns. -
Elementary Orchestra
For students who have mastered the basics and are ready to develop musical independence.
Middle & High School Ensembles (Grades 6–12)
At the middle and high school level, students participate in:

Combined String Ensemble
A large ensemble including all 6th–12th grade string students, focusing on orchestral repertoire and ensemble performance. -
Chamber Ensembles
Students are also placed in a smaller chamber group based on experience and skill level:-
Allegro String Ensemble – introductory chamber experience

Presto String Ensemble – advanced chamber ensemble
