Our current contract with Rediker, known to many as PlusPortals, will conclude in June 2025. After a thorough evaluation of our systems, we determined that managing two separate platforms has created inefficiencies for both our families and office staff. Additionally, the financial company associated with Blackbaud, our current Tuition Management System, has announced plans to implement ACH transaction fees—a cost we want to avoid passing on to our families.

To address these concerns, we have decided to transition to FACTS, a more comprehensive solution that seamlessly integrates all our needs into a single system. This change will simplify processes, enhance efficiency, and ultimately provide a more effective experience for everyone.

• One Comprehensive System: FACTS integrates communication, grades, demerits, tuition, and financial aid management into a single platform, providing a seamless experience for both families and staff.
• No ACH Fees: By transitioning to FACTS, families can avoid future ACH transaction fees, resulting in direct savings.
• Enhanced Support: Recognized as a leader in the industry, FACTS offers exceptional customer service and support for families and staff alike.
• Simplified Enrollment: FACTS is highly praised for its continuous enrollment features, streamlining the re-enrollment process and making it more convenient for families.
• Communication: FACTS has created a well-integrated communication system that allows for faster, easier communication between the school and parents. It also allows for automatic communication for certain tasks like demerits, grades, and more.

New families interested in joining Schaumburg Christian School will be charged a $40 application fee. 

Registration fees for the upcoming school year are structured to provide flexibility for families. The fee is $60 per child, with an additional family fee of either $30 or $60, depending on the payment plan selected. This tiered approach allows families to choose a plan that best suits their budgeting preferences while ensuring the resources needed to support our programs and operations. These fees help cover administrative costs associated with enrollment and planning, allowing us to continue delivering an excellent educational experience for your child.

Financial aid will now happen through FACTS. The cost for each application is $45, and will occur during the enrollment process. Before families complete the registration in FACTS they will see the total amount of awarded financial aid, total tuition, and extra fees before selecting payment plans. Financial aid applications will begin sometime in February for our current families. We want to ensure you know how much SCS's tuition will cost prior to enrolling. 

We are updating our enrollment contracts to better align with the commitment Schaumburg Christian School makes to our families and to ensure the long-term stability of our school. Here’s why this update is necessary and beneficial:

• Stability in Staffing: Enrollment numbers directly influence staffing decisions, from hiring qualified teachers to determining class sizes. These updates allow us to better manage these commitments without unexpected financial disruptions, ensuring a stable and consistent environment for all students.

What Does This Mean for Families?

The updated contracts help foster a clear understanding between the school and families, ensuring that we can deliver on our mission without compromise. While we remain flexible and understanding of individual circumstances, this change helps protect the school’s ability to serve your family and others in the community effectively.

All contracts will be digitally signed in FACTS. 

FACTS will enable us to offer a more streamlined continuous enrollment process, integrating financial aid and tuition management into the same system. This feature will save time and reduce paperwork for families, making enrollment as simple as possible.

Beginning in November 2025, we will begin the new continuous enrollment process through FACTS. The Continuous Enrollment process will be: 

• November - CE for following school year begins. 
  • Financial Aid applications begin 
• December - Financial aid Applications are due and tuition for the following school year will be announced 
  • FA awards will be given before the New Year.
  • Families can view the FA in their tuition portal and must select payment options.
• January - Families will receive payment plan options and ability to opt out.
