posted: Aug 24, 2010

Welcome to a new school year!  The faculty and staff at Schaumburg Christian School have been eagerly preparing for you and are looking forward to meeting you orientation night.

Please note that there is a change this year in the orientation night format.

Grades 1-12

Friday, August 27

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Preschool - Kindergarten

Tuesday, August 31

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

This will be a great time for you and your student to meet the teacher and pick up important information about the upcoming school year.

This year’s orientation will be in the form of an Open House.  You are invited to come and meet your teacher anytime between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.   Upon arrival to the school, you will view one of the class lists posted throughout the hallways to determine your child’s teacher.  Then you can go directly to the classroom to meet the teacher and pick up your orientation packet.  This year there will not be an opening session in the main auditorium.

After your visit with the teacher, you are invited to the Life Center Cafe to:

  • complete any last minute paperwork for your student
  • take care of financial matters or ask financial questions
  • sign up for music lessons, or
  • sign up for child care.

The SCS bookstore will be open in the Life Center Gym (Friday Night) and the Annex Cafeteria (Tuesday Night) and will be selling:

  • SCS draw string bags, and
  • SCS spirit apparel such as track jackets, sweatshirts, and two new items – a SCS spirit shirt and SCS rubber wrist band.

Thank you for entrusting your child’s education to the faculty of Schaumburg Christian School.  We count it a privilege to serve you and your family.
